About Carried With Love

Carried With Love is a small non-profit organization in St. Louis providing baby and toddler carriers for children with developmental delays. Babywearing offers many benefits to families. Some of the activities that our families can enjoy with their carriers include: extra snuggle time for everyday activities or recovering from surgeries, getting around hospitals and doctor’s appointments, shopping, community events such as parades and baseball games, and vacations.

Carried With Love was born from an idea in spring 2017. We incorporated in April 2017, and supplied our first carrier in October 2017. We quickly grew from providing four carriers to families in 2017, 15 in 2018, and 38 in 2019!

To be eligible for a carrier, families must live in Missouri (St. Louis metro) and be participating in First Steps or Early Childhood Special Education. Applications are currently open, and will be prioritized based on the child’s needs and family’s financial need. Families are contacted after applying to discuss the best carrier fit for their child. Sometimes families are given several options to try on, they may be asked to visit a Greater St. Louis Babywearing meeting for additional support, or a carrier may be mailed or dropped off at their home. The process is very individualized for each child and caregiver!
